Step back into time when Coal was King and Roslyn was a bustling industrial town with a population between 4,000 to 5,000 people. Museum exhibits highlight Roslyn’s glory days when mining ruled the town’s rhythms and dozens of small businesses lined the downtown core. At one time an estimated 24-26 separate ethnic groups populated the town. Roslyn lays claim to many ‘firsts’ in Washington state including the first Boy Scout Troop and the first African-American mayor in Washington state.
